“Glenbeigh/Glencar 2-13 Keel 1-10”
Glenbeigh/Glencar U14's recorded their first win of the season on Wed evening when they defeated Keel, 2-13 to 1-10. This was a good team performance, and with no subs to call on, everyone had to contribute. There was some slick passing and well worked scores, and while Keel had their chances too, good goalkeeping & stout defending meant that Glenbeigh/Glencar led by 1-7 to 5pts at half time. Keel upped the pressure in the second half and in the first ten min they reduced the gap and were back on level terms. Glenbeigh/Glencar dug deep and regained their composure and secured the vital scores to come out on top. Team: Daragh O'Shea, Joseph Murphy, Sean Foley, Michael O'Sullivan (0-1), Darren O'Connor, Donal O'Neill, Daniel Griffin (0-5), Sean Burke (0-1), Caolim Teahan (2-5), Luke O'Connor, Micheal Griffin (0-1).
